I saw a post asking if i am finding or creating my dream job. Well, I am doing both. However, if I am honest with myself, I think the smarter thing would be to focus more on the creating bit. Thing is, I have had jobs that I did not enjoy. Jobs that made me miserable. Jobs that did not pay enough. I think , like me, a lot of young people have also experienced employers who want to get the most out of you at the least cost possible. These people who think that because you're getting experience & exposure from working for them that justifies them paying you peanuts. Experience & exposure won't pay my bills though, will they?
Creating my dream job. The main hurdle is finances. Feeling like I am perpetually low on funds. Then there is feeling like I am wasting my time because I am not always busy - you know, up by 5 AM & dog tired when I get back home in the evening. I know, it sounds crazy being guilty for not being constantly worn out but to be honest I think it's also the fear that the people who matter to me will think that I am indolent & without ambition.
The drive is there. Simmering in my underbelly. I know that if I do not give up, these hard times will break & that my business will pick up.That if I am consistent in offering good quality products & services, things will definitely get better. Earlier today my cousin was asking me about my business & how she can start - that was a reminder for me to get out of my head & acknowledge that I really am making progress. I read somewhere that if you're not given a seat at the table you want to be at, make your own table.
Book Review : Jewel E. Ann's Only Trick was a good read. Darby , a senator's daughter falls for her gay best friend Trick, a make up artist & former gang banger. The twists & turns here are realistic & the sex scenes aren't cringe worthy like those in book five, Jana Aston's Wrong. This one is about Dr.Luke who falls for Sophie, a university senior & a barista. Personally, this one did nothing for me. The story line was pretty shallow & those sex scenes *just ugh*. Please note that the books in these series are pretty explicit probably because they were meant to get guys in the mood for Valentine's Day. Last night I started Skye Warren's Escort.
Incidentally, did you hear that Tristan cheated on Khloe with Jordyn? ?!! He's such a jerk!
